The South West region of Colorado Springs is home to more military families than any other region in the city. With Fort Carson to the south, NORAD to the west, Peterson to the east, and the Air Force Academy to the north, this area of town is centrally located for the easy transportation of any soldier to get to post. The South West neighborhoods have wonderful parks and recreation facilities. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Seven Falls, Helen Hunt Falls, and Garden of the Gods are close by for families to take advantage of the scenery and nature offered solely by the terrific Colorado climate.
